President Billy Blackwell called the January meeting
to order at 6:30 pm. There were 18 members present. Old Business:
Wayne Thomley has confirmed our reservations at Lake Weise
and advised us that the boat slips will be confirmed later in
the year. If you want one make sure you are on Wayne’s list New Business: Larry Foshee has returned to the
Panhandle. Welcome back Larry. Tony (the wardrobe man) has yet another piece
of clothing for the guys, a hooded sweat shirt with a zipper.
The sweat shirt has the club logo on the front and back. If you
want one they are $26.00 with a dollar
going to the club. Mack Cramer nominated Tim Bell for membership.
Tim is with the Pensacola Police Department. John Kasic won the 50/50 Tony Boyett gave his treasures report. Mack Cramer gave the December tournament results.
Congrats to all the winners. He reminded everyone of the no wake
zones at Fish River January Tournament: January saw the Panhandlers on the Mighty Fish
River. The day started off COLD with a strong North wind which
made it extremely Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I must say even though it was cold, it was not as bad as
Millers Ferry 2 years ago having 17 degrees with sleet and snow.
Anyway we had 13 anglers bundled up and ready to fish. As the
weigh in time approached Mack was able to sound the horn at 2
minutes past 4 that the scales were open. It was obvious that
everyone wasted no time getting out of the water. Surprisingly
there were some nice fish caught. Mack Cramer took first place
with a nice stringer of 5 fish which topped the scales at 10.47
pounds with a nice fish at 4.26 pounds. Wayne Thomley had the
limit of 7 fish for 2nd place with a total weight of
6.77lbs. Locked in at 3rd place was Rich Hardy with
only 1 fish but it was a nice one. 5.05 lbs Rich also won big
