4 2009 Meeting Minutes BB
opened meeting at 6:30pm. Billy
recognized the efforts of the outgoing e-board Billy
called for a vote for Steve Meadows which passed unanimously Old Business Save Phace order was brought up again and all members
were asked if they wished to place an order. Only 2 members (Mack and Tony) responded so
club will not receive raffle mask due to quantity ordered. December meeting will have
the $10 50/50 raffle for the travel fund. The future $10 raffle meetings will be March,
June and September. New Business All fish off submissions
must be brought to December meeting and it is strongly recommended
that they be emailed to E board and Ken Repine to put on the website
in advance. Billy asked members for
any ideas to raise money for the travel funds, no ideas provided
at this time. Tournament
report Mack provided Wheeler tournament
results and reviewed new blastoff procedure. When you pay for
each tournament, you will go to Rich Cornelius to pick your blast
off number. Mack plans to blast off 5 at a time unless
site restricts blast off to single file. Mack reviewed tournament
schedule for 2010 and reviewed a change to the Seminole tournament
to stay and launch from Wingates. We had some conversation
but it stays as mentioned. We
also reviewed the 2 day event at Lay and Mitchell in the September
time frame with no member feedback. Dave Dyes suggested that
weigh in process was rushed which resulted in him having a dead
fish penalty he didn’t feel he deserved.
Mack reviewed his system and acknowledged that he will
give each fish a 15 second chance to move and if no movement is
seen, it will be called as dead. Mack also said he would make an extra effort
to ensure the fish are in fact dead while at the same time keep
the weigh in process moving. Claireborne
